Registering the WisePOS E

Before getting started, make sure your payment processing is set up. Check this article

This is Short video on how to set up WisePOS E

1. Unbox Your Reader

Ensure the box includes:

  • WisePOS E Reader

  • Battery

  • Charging block

  • Charging cable

2. Install the Battery & Charge

  1. Remove the back panel.

  2. Insert the battery, aligning the gold connectors.

  3. Reinstall the cover and power on the device using the side button.

  4. Charge the reader using the supplied cable—plug it into the port marked with the lightning bolt.

3. Select Country & Language

Follow the prompts to choose your country and preferred language.

4. Connect to Wi-Fi

Choose a Wi-Fi network that uses one of the following required encryption types:

  • WPA/WPA2/WPA3-Personal

  • WPA2/WPA3 EAP-PEAP Enterprise

Networks must be password-protected.

5. Get a Pairing Mode

Once connected to Wi-Fi, the reader will show the “Register this Device” screen with a pairing code.

If the pairing code does not appear:

  1. Swipe right from the left edge of the screen.

  2. Tap Settings.

  3. Enter the admin PIN: 07139.

  4. Tap Generate pairing code.

6. Register in Yocale

After the pairing code appears:

  1. Go to Yocale → Payments → Payment Methods → Card Reader

  2. Tap Register

  3. Choose WisePOS E from the model list

  4. Enter the pairing code exactly as it appears on the device

  5. Give your reader a name to easily identify it at checkout

  6. Select the location where the reader will be used (if you have multiple locations)

After Registration

Your card reader is now ready to accept payments.

Tips for Best Performance

  • Charge your reader every night.

  • Tap the power button to put it to sleep and conserve battery when not in use.

  • Always charge using a wall outlet, not a laptop USB port.
