Setting up payment processing in Yocale allows you to securely accept payments, receive payouts, and manage your financial information in one place. This guide walks you through the onboarding process, verification requirements, and how to manage your account over time.

Start Your Onboarding Process

Check this short video for setting up your payment on Yocale

You can begin payment setup by opening the Payment Setup page from the Payment menu.

  1. On the Payment Setup page, click Connect to Stripe to start onboarding.

  2. Follow the on-screen instructions to proceed.

If you don’t see the “Connect to Stripe” button, there may be a few reasons:

  • Onboarding already started: The button will not appear if you’ve already begun the application. You can continue where you left off.

  • Active payment account already exists: For example, if you have an active account with Fiserv, the button will be hidden. To switch providers, contact Yocale Support.

  • Not supported in your region: If neither of the above applies, Yocale payment processing may not be available in your country. Contact support to be added to our waiting list.

Business Information and Identity Verification

The onboarding process begins with verifying your phone number, followed by entering your business and identity details.

Start with pressing "Add information" button

  • Add your email address and phone number, and press submit.

  • Enter the verification code that is sent to your phone number.

  • Start filling out about your business detail in this page.

  • Ensure the information matches your official business registration records.

  • Industry: The most common categories are:

    • Personal services > Health and beauty spas

    • Personal services > Salons or barbers

    • You may choose another category that best fits your business.

  • Business website: If you do not have a business website, you may use your business’s social media profile.

Press "Continue" to fill out personal details

  • Click Continue to open the Business Owner Details page. On that page, you’ll also have the option to choose Continue Without Owners.

Additional Verification:

  • Stripe may request extra documents at any time to ensure compliance.

  • This may include a driver’s license, bank statement, or tax documents.

Adding Your Payout Account

Once verification is complete, add the account you want to use for receiving your payouts. Depending on your location, you may be able to choose between a bank account or a debit card.

Once you’ve entered all required details, submit your application to create your payment account.

Add public details for customer

In this section, be sure to choose a statement descriptor carefully. This is the name your customers will see on their bank statement. Make sure it’s clear and recognizable, so customers don’t mistake the charge for an invalid payment and dispute it.

Review and submit

Review all the information you’ve entered and complete any missing details.

  • Press Agree and Submit to finalize. Your information will be submitted immediately.

After Onboarding

Once onboarding is complete, you can view the status of your payment account on the Payment Setup page.

Even after approval, Stripe may request more information if:

  • Certain setup steps remain incomplete, or

  • Additional verification is required.

You can submit the requested information or documents directly from the Payment Setup page.

Payment Account Statuses

Your payment account may display one of the following statuses:

  • Active – Fully operational with all features enabled.

  • Partially Active – Most features are available, but some operations (such as payouts) may be temporarily restricted while additional information is being reviewed. You’ll usually see this when Stripe emails you requesting more details.

  • Disabled – Your account has been disabled by Stripe due to reasons such as being listed, suspended for fraud, or rejected.

    • If no documents are requested on the Payment Setup page, contact Yocale Support for assistance.

Managing Your Payment Account

After onboarding, you can manage and edit your payment details through the Payment setup section:

  • View and update personal or business information.

  • Edit public-facing business details.

  • Change your linked bank account for payouts.

Keeping your account information accurate will help prevent payout delays or service interruptions.
