Below are some quick tutorial guides to various functions on the Poynt devices
Connect WiFi
swipe down from the top twice
Tap Wifi
select network
enter password
select join
Process transaction
From main menu - tap Terminal
Make sure “Sale” option is selected on the top left hand side
Enter sale amount
Select debit/credit at the bottom middle
Void
From main menu - tap Transactions
Select transaction from the list displayed
Tap Void
* Note - You can only void transaction that are currently in the machine batch that haven’t been settled yet)
Refund (from a listed transaction)
From main menu - tap Transactions
Select transaction from the list displayed
Tap Refund
Non-Referenced Refund (not related to a listed specific transaction)
From main menu - tap Terminal
Top left corner select “Non-Ref Refund” from the Sale drop down menu
Enter amount
Tap Refund in the middle bottom
Customer can tap or insert card to process refund
Reprint receipt
From main menu - tap Transactions
Select transaction from list
Select the receipt tab
You can choose to Print, Email or Text the receipt to the customer
Batch Menu
From the main menu select the Settlements option
From here you can:
Manually settle the batch
View transactions
View the Batch history
View various Reports
