How to Manage Two-Step Verification

Written by Aylin Amini

Two-step verification adds an extra layer of security to your Yocale account. After entering your password, you will also need to enter a verification code sent to your email address or mobile phone.

Open Two-Step Verification Settings

  1. Sign in to your Yocale account.

  2. Open your profile from the bottom left of your screen.

  3. Go to Account Settings.

  4. Find the Two-Step Verification section.

From this section, you can enable two-step verification, add another verification method, remove an existing method, or disable two-step verification.

Enable Two-Step Verification

  1. Select Enable.

  2. Choose how you want to receive your verification code:

    • Email

    • Text message (SMS)

  3. Complete the required information:

    • For email, your login email address will be displayed and cannot be edited.

    • For SMS, enter the mobile phone number you want to use.

  4. Select Next.

  5. Enter the verification code sent to your email address or phone number.

  6. Complete the verification process.

Your selected verification method will now appear in your Account Settings.

Note:

Enabling two-step verification only applies to your own Yocale account. It does not automatically enable the feature for other staff members.

Each staff member must manage and activate two-step verification separately from their own Account Settings. Staff members can choose their preferred verification method and manage their security settings independently.

Add Another Verification Method

You can add another method if you already have email or SMS verification enabled.

  1. Go to Account Settings.

  2. In the Two-Step Verification section, select Add Method.

  3. Choose the available verification method.

  4. Enter the verification code you receive.

After setup, you can choose between your available methods when signing in.

Remove a Verification Method

  1. Go to Account Settings.

  2. Find the verification method you want to remove.

  3. Select Remove Method.

  4. Confirm the action.

If another verification method is still active, only the selected method will be removed.

If you remove your only active verification method, Yocale will treat this as disabling two-step verification.

Disable Two-Step Verification

  1. Go to Account Settings.

  2. Select Disable Two-Step Verification.

  3. Review the security warning.

  4. Confirm that you want to continue.

  5. Enter the verification code sent to your active verification method.

Once disabled, you will only need your password to sign in.

Sign In Using Two-Step Verification

After entering your email address and password:

  1. Select an available verification method, if more than one method is enabled.

  2. Enter the six-digit verification code sent to you.

  3. Select the option to continue signing in.

You can also:

  • Select Resend Code if you did not receive the code.

  • Choose another verification method if multiple methods are available.
