Yocale Import Sample
Before importing, review your file and compare it with Yocale’s sample import file.
Yocale requires your CSV file to follow a specific format to ensure the data is recognized correctly.
Header Row Requirements
The first row of your file must contain column headers
Headers must be:
Spelled exactly the same as in the sample file
In the same order as the sample file
This is important because Yocale uses these headers to identify the type of data in each column.
If the headers are missing, renamed, or rearranged, the system may not process your file correctly.
File Format
File type must be CSV (.csv)
Each row represents one gift card
Use the sample CSV file as your template
Field Guidelines
Number (Required)
A unique identifier for each gift card.
Must be unique within your business
Maximum 50 characters
Use letters and numbers only
Avoid special characters
Value (Required)
The total value of the gift card.
Must be greater than 0.00
Must not exceed 1,000,000,000.00
Enter numbers only (no currency symbols)
Available Balance (Required)
The current balance available on the gift card.
Must be equal to or less than the Value
Enter numbers only
User Email (Optional)
Assign the gift card to an existing client.
Must be a valid email format
Must match an existing client in your business
Leave blank if not assigning to a client
Expiry Date and Time (Optional)
When the gift card expires.
Format: YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS (UTC)
Must be a future date
Example: 2026-12-31 23:59:59
Issue Date and Time (Optional)
The date the gift card was issued.
Format: YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS (UTC)
Can be a past date
Must be earlier than the expiry date
PIN (Optional)
Security code for the gift card.
Maximum 12 characters
Message (Optional)
A note associated with the gift card.
Maximum 250 characters
After Uploading Your File
The system will process your file
A summary will show:
Total records processed
Successfully imported gift cards
Any records that could not be imported
A result file will be downloaded for your reference
