Important Notes:

1) Yocale Tap To Pay is on iPhone and US only at the moment.

2) You need to contact support@yocale.com to generate onboarding link

Tap to Pay on iPhone allows business owners to accept in-person, contactless payments directly on their iPhone—no additional hardware like card readers is required. This feature lets you receive payments from contactless credit and debit cards, Apple Pay, and other supported digital wallets securely and conveniently.

This guide is for business owners and covers onboarding, app setup, enabling the feature, processing payments, and managing transactions.

Complete Onboarding & Download the App

As the business owner, start the onboarding process by contacting support@yocale.com for a specialized link.

Once your receive the link, you'll see a confirmation screen indicating that setup is complete.

From this page, you can:

  • Download the Tap to Pay app directly using the provided App Store link.

Log In to the App

  1. Open the Tap to Pay app on your iPhone.

  2. Log in using the same mobile phone number you entered during onboarding.

  3. Follow the on-screen verification steps to access your account.

Activate Tap to Pay on iPhone

After logging in:

  • Follow the in-app instructions to enable Tap to Pay on iPhone.

This activation allows your device to accept:

  • Contactless credit and debit cards

  • Apple Pay and other supported digital wallets

On first use, the app guides you through:

  • Accepting required permissions

  • Confirming your business details

  • Verifying that Tap to Pay is ready to use

Important: No external card reader is required—your compatible iPhone handles everything via its built-in NFC capabilities.

Process a Payment

To take a payment:

  1. Open the Tap to Pay app.

  2. Enter the payment amount.

  3. Present your iPhone to the customer.

  4. Have the customer tap their card or digital wallet (e.g., Apple Pay) on the top of your iPhone.

  5. Wait for the confirmation that the payment is complete.

After the transaction:

  • Use the in-app option to send a receipt to the customer via email or other methods.

Manage Payments & Payouts

While the app handles in-person payments, use the Stripe dashboard for broader management outside the app. From the dashboard, you can:

  • View full transaction history

  • Manage payouts

  • Issue refunds

  • Handle disputes
