Receive and Manage Deposits

Deposits help businesses secure client bookings and reduce no-shows. Yocale makes it easy to manage deposits for the booking.

How to Collect a Deposit from Clients

Before you can start taking deposits, make sure you have an active payment account set up. This allows you to save cards on file and process deposits.

  1. Set your deposit policy

    • Go to your Settings on the left bar menu

    • Get to the online booking page and open the online payment policy

    • You can set the deposit as either:

      • A fixed amount, or

      • A percentage of the service price.​


  2. Client booking flow

    • During the online booking process, clients will be redirected to the payment page to pay the required deposit.

Viewing Deposits in Bookings

Once a client books an appointment with a deposit:

  • You can see the deposit details directly in the Booking.

  • If the you need to manage the deposit, a link is available from the Deposit sign that takes you directly to the related payment record.

  • You can refund a deposit in this page


Invoices with Deposits

When you create an invoice for a booking with a deposit:

  • The invoice will be marked as partially paid, and the deposit amount will automatically be added to the payment history.
